Orlando Magic Tickets

The Orlando Magic are one of four teams added to the NBA through the league’s expansion project in 1989. The team kicked off their season with a poor record of 18-64. After a successful draft pick of Dennis Scott in 1990, the Magic became ownership to the NBA’s most improved record. In 1992, the team drafted the famous Shaquille O’Neal. Immediately, the seven foot center made a significant impact on the team’s performance. Over the next few years, the team continued to improve their team with Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway and Chris Webber. The Miami Heat became part of the NBA during the 1980’s burst of team additions to the league. The teams first year on the court led to a pitiful 15-67 record, one of the worst records in the league. Most recently, the Magic’s record has been plagued with several player injuries and lack of solid scoring. Their eventual small development and increased team momentum led them to the NBA Playoffs in 2007 for the first time in four years. Unfortunately, they were swept by the Detroit Pistons due to unmatched skill and playoff experience.
