St. Augustine, Florida
By Beachbum from St. Augustine, Florida on 9/19/2010
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It
Cons:
Poor Set List
Best For:
Everyone

Sounded great, but seemed to care less about being there. Didnt play 2 of their most popular songs. Sax player was awesome as usual, but Marc Roberge seemed to be bored.

By NurseCathy from lancaster ma on 8/1/2010
Pros:
Best of the BEST, Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting
Cons:
None
Best For:
Everyone

These guys have EARNED the reputation of the one of the best live show bands out there. Crowd ranged from 10 to 70, and the show rocked for two solid hours. They can't play everything, but they vary their sets and you can tell they truly appreciate the enthusiasm of the crowd. THANK YOU OAR

Great concert - Annoying Kids!
By ML from Newton Center, MA on 8/11/2008
Pros:
Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Great Sound, Perfect Set List, Played For A Long Time
Best For:
Everyone

Honestly, just like all concerts, the obnixious, drunk/high little 15 year olds were extremely aggrevating. Maybe they are legal to drink, but they look extremely young! I'm only in my mid 20's, so not that much older, but these kids were just terrible. Security guys were great in kicking the kids out who didnt have tickets to front row seats, which was great. But there were the few that still snuck in, knocked drinks over onto seats, fell over the chairs (which meant they fell on top of you) and pushed you aside to climb over the seats. Besides that, great concert!

O.A.R. Concert Tickets

Of a Revolution, more commonly known as the rock-reggae band O.A.R., are a prime example of a grassroots musical collective. Formed by four high school classmates from Rockville, Maryland, O.A.R. is now a quintet renowned for songs such as “Shattered” and “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker.” Known for extensive summer tours, O.A.R. has become a must-see live performance. In fact, O.A.R. has sold out Madison Square Garden twice, and has a passion for bringing the feeling of live music to each of their studio albums. The band released the Rockville LP in June 2014.

Beginnings
O.A.R. formed in 1996 with four founding members: singer and guitarist Marc Roberge, drummer Chris Culos, guitarist Richard On and bassist Benj Gershman. The band released its debut album, The Wanderer in 1997, which included some of O.A.R.’s biggest hits including “Black Rock” and “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker.” O.A.R.&rsquos freshman work slowly built a following on college campuses, though it was recorded on a low budget and released independently.

The band members moved to the Midwest to attend Ohio State University, where they met Jerry DePizzo, who has played saxophone and guitar with the band ever since. As the year 2000 approached, the band started playing live shows at more colleges and encouraged concert goers to tape their performances. Soon the band gained notoriety, and in 1999 the quintet released its sophomore album, Souls Aflame. O.A.R. released Souls Aflame again without a label, although the group did find a distributor. Risen came in 2001, and sold more than 60,000 copies independently.

Moving forward
By 2003, O.A.R. released its first live album, Any Time Now, and had signed with Lava/Atlantic. Since that time, O.A.R. has released a slew of live albums to the elation of its dedicated fan base, including shows from locales such as Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks. The quintet’s live albums capture the energy that they produce when they perform, a ferocity they try to transfer to every record.

Under Lava/Atlantic, the band released In Between Now and Then in 2003. Next came Stories of a Stranger in 2005, but it was 2008’s All Sides that made it to No. 13 on the Billboard album charts. The follow up - O.A.R.’s seventh album - King was released in 2011 and peaked in the No. 12 slot on the charts. The band has experienced similar success with the Rockville LP. While recording the album, the band members often returned to their hometown, using it as a chance to recharge and bring a new perspective to their music.

The band considers the Rockville LP perhaps its most versatile album. Fueled by singles such as “Peace” and “Favorite Song,” it was recorded in several locations: Nashville, Brooklyn and Bethesda, Md. With each album, O.A.R. refines its spontaneous live sound, working to perfect the genuine music that the quintet creates on stage. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the distinct sound of this tremendous rock band live. Buy your O.A.R. tickets now!
