Oak Ridge Boys Concert Tickets

The Oak Ridge Boys have been crafting music for a long time - the group started out in Knoxville, Tenn., as a gospel quartet in the 1940s and eventually transformed their sound to become the widely adored country-pop band known today. While the group was little-known in their early years, Oak Ridge Boys tickets have been a hot commodity since their heyday - the 1970s and early 1980s.

The Oak Ridge Boys rose to the top when they shifted their image and sound to country, gaining popularity among the fans. The band won their first Grammy in 1970 for the hit track "Talk About the Good Times." The Boys even teamed up with Johnny Cash and the Carter Family in 1973 to record a single, "Praise the Lord and Pass the Soup," and this project landed the band on the country music charts for the first time.

After being signed to and dropped by Columbia Records, the band joined MCA in 1977 - the same year their song "Y'all Come Back Saloon" made the Top Five list. Since then, the Oak Ridge Boys have been putting out hit after hit and winning the hearts of country music fans with their soulful rhythm.

Their 2009 album, The Boys are Back, featured covers of hit songs by John Lee Hooker, Neil Young and The White Stripes, and in 2012 pop/rock producer, Dave Cobb encouraged the group to expand their reach with the Release of Back Home Again, attracting new fans. The Oak Ridge Boys ever-evolving acoustic arrangements and traditional standards shine through in their new material and with their 40th anniversary in 2013 they've proven they're a force to be reckoned with.
