'Tis the season for outdoor music festivals thanks to summer vacations and warm weather around the nation. North Coast Music Festival tickets are some of the most sought after, due to the event's specialization in electro and DJ performances as well as its fun setting.
In terms of festival longevity, the North Shore event, held at Union Park in Chicago, is a relative newbie. The 2013 festival will run Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, its fourth ever run, though if this year is anything like the previous, fans are sure to be impressed.
Future events wouldn't be made possible if the original 2010 North Coast Music Festival hadn't been such a hit. The festival instantly became a hit with big name acts like Pretty Lights, The Disco Biscuits, The Chemical Brothers and Lupe Fiasco getting the crowd amped up. The Disco Biscuits have been around since 1995 and have made a name for themselves thanks to their impressive live light shows. Other groups that helped shape the festival include Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Laidback Luke, De La Soul, Boys Noize and Phantogram.
