With passionate fans, storied tradition and a state-of-the-art stadium, it's no wonder the New York Giants are regarded as
one of the model franchises in the National Football League. For more than 85 years, the Giants have been a staple of American football, and New York
Giants tickets are some of the most coveted items in the sports arena.
The New York Giants entered the National Football League in 1925 and is the only remaining team of the five that were admitted that year. Current
members of the NFC East Division, the Giants finished their inaugural season with
an 8-4 record. The Big Blue garnered their first NFL championship win in 1927. Over the course of the team's history they have earned a slew of league,
conference and division championship wins as well as more than 25 Playoff appearances and a few Super Bowl triumphs.
Accounting for the team's age, the Giants lay claim to the oldest, and possibly the fiercest rivalry in NFL history dating back to 1933 with the Philadelphia Eagles. The standard divisional contentions lay with the
Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins as
well as their intracity opponents, the New York Jets. Intense rivalry aside, those early days were full of success, including several league
championships. However, the 1960s proved tough for the giants; the two leagues merged, and success was harder to come by for the G-Men, as teams like
the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys took over.
It wasn't until the 1980s and the arrival of head, coach Bill Parcells that the Giants started to turn things around. A surprise adversary, the San
Francisco 49ers, developed due to a competition that is rooted in the 1980s and based on the two teams going head to head in the Playoffs multiple times
in a short span. Despite the intense rivalries developed throughout the years, the Giants, led by legendary players such as Phil Simms and Lawrence
Taylor, captured their first two Super Bowl titles in 1986 and 1990. While they continued to be contenders after Simms' retirement, it wasn't until 2007
that the Giants truly shocked the football world. That year, they beat the previously undefeated New England Patriots for the Super Bowl title - pulling
off one of the greatest upsets in NFL history.
Big Blue enjoys a fiercely loyal fan base that follows the team through thick and thin, and that certainly won't change any time soon. The Giants play at
