New Orleans Saints Tickets

It’s hard to deny the appeal of the Saints. Their fans, the city and the players make them one of the most loveable teams in the National Football League. For more than 45 years, the black and gold faithful have supported their team through good times and bad, picking up New Orleans Saints tickets at every chance they get.

The New Orleans Saints have called New Orleans their home since 1966, gaining their title on All Saints Day in December that same year. Notably the first NFL franchise, the Saints had a hard start until they found their stride in the late 1980s, but once they found their footing there was no stopping them. Current members of the NFC South, the Who Dats are the hometown champions, winning fans over through their steadfast and persistent style of play.

Off to a rocky start, the team ended their first season 3-11. 1987 marked the first playoff appearance for the hard fought Saints, and once obtained they continued to make themselves known every few years. The Saints have lived a tumultuous football life holding just a few playoff appearances and one Super Bowl championship triumph to their name.

Despite a string of losing seasons, the team’s loyal fans supported them through the lean years and were rewarded immensely in the 2000s with the arrival of quarterback Drew Brees. The former San Diego Chargers’ signal caller helped bring the Saints to previously unreached heights. While there have been many good years recently, the 2009 season will certainly go down in Saints history as one of the team’s most memorable. Led by Brees and an explosive offense, the Saints reached the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history and scored an upset of the heavily favored Indianapolis Colts to take home the Lombardi Trophy.

A who’s who of the Who Dats reveals a starting lineup of Pro Football Hall of Famers including Archie Manning, Jim Finks, Vaughan Johnson and Sammy Knight, as well as many Super Bowl MVPs. Characteristic of the passionate NFL rivalries, the New Orleans Saints have divisional opponents in the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The latter contention is often referred to as the "Battle of the Gulf Coast".

Will the Saints manage to shake things up this season to bring home the coveted Super Bowl championship title? Make sure that you are front and center to cheer on your favorite players. Reviews declare that the Saints are a great football experience for the whole family. Purchase your New Orleans Saints tickets today to make sure that you don’t miss a moment of the action!
