Nebraska Cornhuskers Basketball Tickets

The Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball team has been taking the court since 1897, and in that time they have enjoyed success in a number of different seasons. Get your Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball tickets now to see some of the most talented players in the country take the court.

The Nebraska men's basketball team formed on Feb. 2, 1897, just six years after Dr. James A. Naismith set down the rules of the game at the International YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts. In the long history of the program, the Huskers have put together an impressive win-loss record, to go along with their more than 15 postseason appearances, including several NCAA Tournament bids. They also won a Phillips 66 Big Eight Tournament title in 1994 and a National Invitation Tournament championship in 1996.

Several players from Nebraska have also gone on to make a name for themselves in the NBA. Former Cornhusker Mikki Moore was signed by the Golden State Warriors in April of 2012, and he averaged 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Warriors while coming off the bench that year. Tyronn Lue, another former Husker, was an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics in 2011-12, helping the team to the Eastern Conference Finals. As a player, Lue spent 11 seasons in the NBA and won a pair of NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2000 and 2001.
