Nascar: time of your life
By Mightymikey02 from Salt Lake City, Utah on 5/20/2008
Pros:
High Energy, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Best For:
Everyone

Nascar!! I took my mother to the event as she is a hardcore fan. I myself was not as interested. But after going, I can see why people love it. The track was huge, and I have never seen so many people in one place. And they all were so friendly (as long as you were cheering for the right driver). We met people in the stands who invited us to stay with them and come see a race in atlanta. How many events can you think of where that holds true. It was so loud. Definitely not the place for kids with insanely loud noises, and the alcohol flowing freely. But you couldn't beat the attitude in the stands. I can't wait to go again.

Love it, but felt shut out...
By Angelljoy from Raleigh, NC on 5/21/2007
Pros:
Great Style Of Play, High Energy, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Cons:
Limited handicap access
Best For:
Casual Fans, Die-Hard Fans Only, Everyone, New To The Sport

It was my first race experience and I loved it. The only down side was that my neuromuscular disease prevents me from walking very well and I was told I could not take my mobility scooter in. Since I could not climb over the seats with my two canes, I spent the All Star Race sitting outside on a bench waiting for my husband. If you do not have any physical limitations its great. If you do have them, try to get as much information on what is available for you before you commit to going.

NASCAR Sprint All-Star Challenge Tickets

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines for the Sprint All-Star Challenge, an adrenaline pumping race that takes place at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. There are several big names expected to hit the track for the 2014 race, including legendary NASCAR favorites Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon. Get your NASCAR Sprint All-Star Challenge tickets to see that checkered flag wave and watch your favorite racers fight to the finish.

Drivers must qualify to compete in the All-Star Challenge by winning a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Before the All-Star event, eligible drivers must complete three laps and a four-tire pit stop. This was a rule put into place for the 2014 race, which means fans will be getting even more action than they planned.

This event has been taking place since 1985, with Darrell Waltrip taking the checkered flag at the inaugural event. There have been several big names that have come out on top over the years. Dale Earnhardt Sr. was the winner during 1987, 1990 and 1993. Jeff Gordon, the first race car driver to earn $100 million in Cup winnings, was the champion of the All-Star Challenge in 1995, 1997, 2001 and 2009.

When you’re not being entertained by drivers on the track, you’ll have the opportunity to see famous performers the night before. During the 2014 race, Grammy-nominated country recording artist, Jake Owen, is set to take the stage and belt out crowd favorites.
