Despite the bashing other reviewers have given the show, I loved it! We got to see it in a quaint little theater in PA. We had really great seats, so maybe that made a difference. This was the first time we took our girls to see a ballet. It couldn't have been more perfect! I thought the dancers were wonderful and I did not see one misstep throughout the whole production! They all had amazing energy and were extremely professional in my opinion. I will definitely be making this our new family tradition during the holidays!
Oh no! No growing Christmas tree? Are you kidding me? That is the whole magical part of the first act! And the nutcracker that Clara receives is supposed to be A NUTCRACKER. THEN it is magically turned into a MAN. They had the Nutcracker a man the whole time. Again, the magic is spoiled. NO live orchestra is bad enough, but then they used a sucky, tinny recording? The snowflake dance I saw years ago was incredible, magical. Snow falling from up above as the dancers make circles with their toes on the stage... NOPE, not here. Do Clara and her prince take off in a chariot into the sky at the dramatic end? Nope. None of that either. Absolutely no sparkle or MAGIC in this performance. Oh, so so disappointed! The dancers themselves were beautiful and indeed very very talented. A shame they all had to be in such a dud of a show. BOOO!

Agree with the others. While some of the dancers where clearly very good; the overall production was poor. I have seen better amateur versions. Very poor synchronization, poor props, outdated backdrops, and lack of orchestra (yes, the play a CD recording). Avoid this one, and find a better version.

We went to see the one in Sioux City, IA. This was by far the worst Nutcracker show ever! There were no props, the actors/dancers DID NOT capture our attention, the Sioux City kids were equally horrible (nothing against them but they looked out of place and it shows during the performance), overall a very poor production with an overpriced ticket.
