Morris Day and The Time Concert Tickets

Morris Day and the Time is made up of American musician and composer Morris Day and various other artists. The group is best known for creating songs that fused funk, rock and dance-pop, such as "Jungle Love&quo; and "Gigolos Get Lonely Too." Buy your Morris Day and the Time tickets today and enjoy a night of soulful funk music with one of the most prolific musical groups of the 1970s.

Before Day began collaborating with members of the Time, he was in a band with Prince called Champagne. They focused heavily on the smooth style of R&B. When Prince left to pursue various musical styles, Day embarked on a search for his own ensemble. He found Jellybean Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Monte Moir and Terry Lewis, and began recording what would be known as Minneapolis Uptown funk music.

The group released its debut album, The Time, in 1981. The album received critical praise for its fun, playful sound. The group followed up its initial success with 1982's What Time is It? and 1984's Ice Cream Castle. However, It wasn't until the mid-1980s that Morris Day and the Time began to find its groove as a band. During performances on stage, Day would present himself as a playboy followed by a large entourage.
