The game was fantastic and the seats were great. Sitting up a little higher allows you to get a better view of the ice and all the action. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed. A really fun atmosphere. Good for all ages!!

Plenty of other Sabres fans on hand to celebrate the game with. Arena next door to our hotel, and plenty of Sabres fans were in the bar at our hotel before the game. It was great!

The Minnesota Wild, established in 2000, are a professional ice hockey team that are part of the Western Conference of the NHL. Current members of the Northwest Division, the Wild play their home games at Xcel Energy Center located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Wild played their first game at Anaheim, California, losing to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, now called just the Anaheim Ducks, 3-1. It would not be until five games into their freshman season that the Wild would take home their first victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the beginning of their second season the Wild made a decent showing, only to slump into last place by the end. Still, Minnesota fans were keyed up to have their first professional hockey franchise back in state since the departure of the Minnesota North Stars in 1993. This excitement translated to fantastic sales for Minnesota Wild tickets.
Going into their junior season the Wild were high on the league scoring list before tumbling in the second half. Regardless, the team made it to the conference finals and beat the favored Colorado Avalanche before falling to their Anaheim foes. Post-lockout the Wild made their first serious run at the Stanley Cup Finals when they secured the Northwest Division title in 2008. While they triumphed over the NHL powerhouse the Calgary Flames, they fell to the Colorado Avalanche after six games. The Minnesota Wild continues to punch it up on the ice in the hopes of regaining another shot at the hard to pin down Stanley Cup.
