Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2008

We were a group of 4. My husband, my 2 year old son, my mother, and myself. We attended the party on November 20th 2008, which was a Thursday. I had never assisted Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party before although I had heard about it from a co-worker in the past years but never looked into going until this year. To tell you the truth I regret not having gone sooner. After reading a few reviews I was a bit hesitant on whether I should go or not. I recommend that everyone should try it at least once. This experience was absolutely amazing for my family especially my 2 year old.We are definitely doing this again next year. As soon as we reached the ticket booth the christmas spirit could be felt. The cast members had their colorful holiday outfits, there was christmas music playing everywhere. The parade and the fireworks were breathtaking. The complimentary hot cocoa and cookies were great. Main Street had snow falling all night even during the parade. The cooler weather 42 degrees really hepled to get the christmas spirit. It wasn't crowded at all. We focused on the kid rides since my son is only 2 we stayed in fantasyland. Some lines were 5 minutes long while there were others that we could just walk right onto the rides. We found good seats on Main Street to watch the parade and waited just 10 minutes. I was amazed to see how the characters actually danced and interacted with guests during the dance parties. Pluto and Goofy, who was dressed as Santa Clause, were dancing in the crowd with us.It was GREAT! We were able to get on all the kid rides, watch all the shows, eat dinner, take pictures with Mickey, enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, dance with the characters and even some time for shopping. We did not have to rush at all to enjoy all these activities. The cast members were really good at checking wristbands too. The park allows guests to enter as early as 4:00 pm so try to arrive at the park early so you can take advantage of the extra time and don't forget to purchase the special Very Merry Christmas Party pin sold exclusively during the party. Overall this was an amazing experience. Several days have passed since we attended and I can close my eyes and still relive every magical moment of it!
