Michael W. Smith Concert Tickets

Though Christian music is popular in the United States, it's unusual to see some of the genre's artists make their way into the pop world, but Michael W. Smith has broken the mold. For the last 25 years, the West Virginia native has gained a large fan following from all over the country, many of whom clamor to pick up Michael W. Smith tickets.

Smith got his start in the music industry by writing songs for other popular gospel artists like Amy Grant, but it was clear he was destined for stardom in his own right. He made his first solo foray into the music world with 1983's The Michael W. Smith Project, which was a big success and eventually earned a Grammy nomination.

Encouraged by the success of his debut, Smith continued to work to make a mainstream breakthrough. He eventually succeeded with the release of the 1990 album Go West Young. With popular tunes such as "Seed to Sow" and "Angus Dei," the record broke the top 10 on the Billboard 200 charts. Smith often tours and collaborates with like-minded artists regardless of genre, as evident in the "Make a Difference " tour he embarked on with tobyMac.

Over the last two decades, Smith's production has not waned. He continues to attract crowds all across the country, and his 2011 album Glory continued his tradition of helping popularize Christian music.
