Meek Mill Tickets

Meek Mill is the stage name of American rapper Robert Rahmeek Williams. Hailing from Pittsburgh, Meek Mill has quickly become one of the most noteworthy East Coast rappers of the late 2000s and 2010s. His sound combines the aggressive, sometimes violent vocals of artists such as Dr. Dre and Ludacris with pop sensibilities and incredible production value to create a sound that is truly unique. Having released his debut album in 2012, Meek Mill is still near the beginning of what could very well become a prolific career. Take in this rising East Coast star today by purchasing your Meek Mill tickets!

Early life and career beginnings
From the beginning, Williams’ life was destined to be somewhat different than that of most individuals. Born in Philadelphia, Williams lost both of his parents to death when he was only 5 years old. Left to fend for himself, he was taken in by his grandmother and his uncle, who was a hip hop pioneer in his own right. Williams’ uncle went by Grandmaster Nell, and was a rising star in the East Coast hip hop scene. He had an undeniable impact on Williams’ life, encouraging him from a young age to pursue music as an interest and potential career. In the early 2000s, Williams took on the pseudonym Meek Mill and formed a small rap group, The Bloodhoundz, with several of his friends. Between 2003 and 2008 that group would go on to release several mixtapes and gain regional notoriety.

Rise to fame
Throughout the release of his work with The Bloodhoundz and solo mixtapes such as Flamerz and Flamerz 2: Hottest in tha City, Mill began to catch the attention of various record producers. In 2008, he was offered contracts by several recording labels, and ultimately chose to sign with Grand Hustle, the imprint of T.I., a lauded rapper from Atlanta. Regrettably, shortly after inking the deal with Grand Hustle, Mill was incarcerated for roughly seven months, all in all destroying his partnership with the label. Mill wouldn’t stay down for long though, as he was signed by Rick Ross to Maybach Music Group in early 2011. He was brought on alongside fellow rapper Wale, who hails from D.C., as part of a label expansion. Mill wasted no time in the studio, releasing his debut full-length album, Dreams and Nightmares in June 2012.

Critical reception
Mill has become a favored rapper among fans of the East Coast scene looking for edgy lyrics and topical subject matter. He has received considerable airtime on mainstream radio and has also become a regular presence on television, appearing on networks like MTV. His second full-length album, Dreams are Worth More Than Money, was scheduled to be released in 2014, but was put on hold after parole violations forced Mill back into incarceration. The album was slated to be released in 2015, with touring dates to follow.
