Mandolin Orange Concert Tickets

Mandolin Orange is a group that uses few instruments and a simple sound to create beautiful music. This duo produces songs that could fall under multiple genres, including country, bluegrass and indie rock, all by using acoustic and electric guitars as well as a mandolin and hand-me-down fiddle. Get your Mandolin Orange tickets to hear their beautiful chord progressions and heartfelt lyrics.

The pair behind Mandolin Orange is comprised of Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz. They formed the group in 2009 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and their sound has been compared to bands such as Nickel Creek, The Civil Wars, David Rawlings and Gillian Welch. Their busy touring schedule has taken them all the way to the UK, where they performed at popular festivals like Shakori Hills Grassroots, Hopscotch Music Festival and Ulster’s 21st Annual Bluegrass Festival.

One year after starting Mandolin Orange, the pair released its self-produced debut, Quiet Little Room. In 2011, the band’s second album, Haste Make/Hard Hearted Stranger was released. This album brought in bassist Jeff Crawford and drummer James Wallace to help round out the sound. This Side of Jordan, the group’s third album, came out in 2013. Its imaginative lyrics really help to paint a picture of the healing process of love and loss.
