Bryan comes from a small, rural community in Georgia known as Leesburg, where he was raised on a farm. Having shown an interest in music from a young age, Bryan had plans to move to Nashville at the age of 19 to pursue his career in music. Regrettably, those plans were put on hold when his older brother died in a car accident near their home. After taking time to sort things out with his family, Bryan did ultimately move to Nashville and began playing music in the area, gaining popularity slowly but steadily. After earning notoriety by working with a small publishing house to help write songs for larger acts, Bryan was signed to Capitol records in 2007.
Rise to fame
Shortly after being signed to Capitol, Bryan released his debut record I’ll Stay Me. The album saw considerable commercial success and began to gain Bryan mainstream media attention as a country artist. He wasted no time making further moves, releasing his second album in autumn 2009, Doin’ My Thing. That record featured three hit singles, “Do I?” “Someone Else Calling You Baby” and “Rain is a Good Thing” and experienced even more commercial acclaim that his first album had. Bryan began to tour the country playing larger and larger shows, but still found time to record new music. In 2011, Bryan released his third studio album, Tailgates and Tanlines, and his career absolutely skyrocketed. The record became a favorite on country radio stations all across America.
Other releases and commercial success
Bryan has released one other album, Crash My Party, in August 2013 and it is widely held that he is currently working on a fifth record. He has also received great amounts of critical acclaim, winning a seemingly countless amount of awards. In 2012, he was nominated for and won nine separate American Country Music Awards, all for “I Don’t Want This Night to End” off of Tailgates and Tanlines.
