Lucinda Williams Concert Review - WOW!

I saw on Lucinda's website that she would be touring the southeast and would be in Birmingham on the 22nd. I wanted to go but it's two hours by car from home. I talked to my wife and she was reluctant. One night after she was asleep I bought the tickets from tickets now. They were expensive, but I hoped for good seats. Ours were on the third row. As we sat down, an older gentleman asked, "Do you mind if I ask how you got such good seats?" We told him, we bought them on Ticketsnow.com.
The Alabama Theatre is FANTASTIC. After Lucinda sang her first song, she said, "Wow, the sound is great in here, isn't it?" Then she sang a wonderful set with a mix from several of her albums and some new material.
I will surely look for her to be somewhere in the region and will go to her concerts. But, I'm so impressed with the Alabama Theatre. The old building has been painstakingly renovated and its like stepping backward in time.
I highly recommend it to anyone who might have a favorite band playing there. Don't second guess yourself. Just Go!
