Great performance & great dancers!! The young man is really good-not Flatly-but good. They were very professional & he seemed to be attentive to all the dancers. They did three encores before they quit. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Boring Plot, Unoriginal Music
Best For:
The Whole Family

We went to see LOTD last night at the Cobb Energy Center in Georgia. As a fan of anything irish, especially irish step dancing, I was disappointed. I thought the show (and the dancers) seemed a bit tired. The guys danced well but the girls did very little that I could call special and had few if any opportunities to show off their talents. The bit where they ripped off their traditional irish dance costumes to reveal black bras and undies was just plain weird and unnecessary. I found most of the costumes boring. There is so much going on in the current world of irish dance. I just don't think this is a relevant showcase anymore. I hope someone will come out with a new and exciting show! Sorry! I'm sure some people found parts energetic and entertaining.

Lord of the Dance Theater Tickets

Michael Flatley is almost solely responsible for the widespread popularity of Irish dancing in the late 1990s. His stage productions quickly swept through North America and Europe, and today Lord of the Dance tickets still remain as popular as ever.

Flatley, a talented Irish-American dancer, rose to fame as the star of the mid-90s stage show Riverdance. After a disagreement with the producers, he left the show and began his own operation, with the eventual goal of playing to sold out arenas. As it turns out, it wasn't long before that dream was realized.

Flatley's Lord of the Dance show first premiered in 1996 in Ireland and it was a big hit. Drawing from Irish folklore, the show tells the story of a fight between the titular Lord of the Dance as he battles an evil presence.

Today, Lord of the Dance remains a popular show, and Flatley is still at the center of its appeal. The performance has become a worldwide phenomenon that draws in fans of all ages, and likely won't shrink from view anytime soon.
