Kinky Boots Theater Tickets

The 2005 comedy Kinky Boots certainly pushed boundaries, and the 2012 musical of the same name has carried on the tradition. With music and lyrics by 1980s pop star Cyndi Lauper, the show tells the story of a beleaguered shoemaker who turns to an enigmatic drag queen to jumpstart his business. In 2013, it earned more than a dozen Tony nominations, so it's no wonder Kicky Boots tickets are so popular.

The story follows the plight of Charlie Price, a shoemaker in charge of a struggling business. In an effort to avoid bankruptcy, he decides to team up with a drag queen named Lola to build shoes that appeal to a very niche clientele - male transvestites. Along the way, the story includes a number of memorable tunes such as "Step One" and "In This Corner."

Kinky Boots' origins can be traced back to 2008 when producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig hatched the idea to adapt the 2005 film for the stage, and it wasn't long before that dream was realized. The musical debuted in Chicago in October 2012 before making its way to cities across the country and eventually to where the story all began - the United Kingdom.
