KC Royals event

It was the last home game of the year, so the crowd was really into the game. It was a ton of fun!

ML Baseball- expensive and boreing.

I purchased parking and seating tickets online. PRO: The seat was excellent- third base line-dugout seat. The parking space was excellent- right next to the stadium. CON: [...]There was a rain delay of 1 hour, and I was unable to contact the stadium to determine whether there was going to be a game at all. I found the game being televised on the MLB cable chanel, and headed down to the stadium. I arrived during the third inning and stayed until the seventh inning. The game between two last place teams was simply boring.

The weather was great. Even though the Royals did not win the game, we had a terrific time. The people were all so friendly!

Instead, the team was originally named after American Royal, a livestock, horse and rodeo show held annually in Kansas City beginning in 1899. The Royals were founded by an elite Kansas City businessman by the name of Ewing Kauffman. Even though the team's current stadium is named after its original owner, the switch didn't occur until 1973. Prior to playing at Kauffman Stadium, the Royals hit home runs inside the Municipal Stadium.

Typical of any MLB team, the Royals being no exception, the franchise has seen their share of ups and downs. Following years of prominence the Royals have seen hard times, putting titles and pennants just out of their reach. As with all professional competitive sports, rivalry rears its ugly head. Their intense rivalry with intrastate St. Louis Cardinals lends to intense on-field action. Never far behind is the team's Central Division contention with the Minnesota Twins.
