I first heard Jonny at the Doheney Blues Festival in 2008. Since then, I try to see him every time he is in town. His band are professionals as is he. Jason Eckridge adds his own beautiful voice to a Stevie Wonder hit and Jonny is like a proud parent to his bandmates. I can take my grandkids or my hard core rock and roll buddies and no one is ever disappointed. Don't miss him if you get the chance to see this amazing performer who gives 1000% each and every minute he's on stage. And if Buddy Guy likes him that should give you a clue about the talent you will hear.

i didn't tell my husband where we would be sitting so he was in shock when we got to our seats. We were able to see everything...
the only thing i didn't like was the people that keep pasting every 15 minutes to go and get more beer.

After a great day a the fair and having seen one other concert at the fair this year I was looming forward to seeing Johnny Lang. The warm up bands were perfect not too long and not to short, but then it was time for the main show. Johnny took the stage and rocked out played his heart mostly new one or two old songs but LONG solo's, He played so long that he didn't even have a chance to do an encore, as a matter of fact he almost didn't have a chance to say good night before the fireworks started. would I pay what I did again to see this show..... No.. but I became a bigger Buddy Guy fan and less of a Johnny Lang Fan. Sorry Johnny.
The absolute most fantastic concert I've attended in 20 years! Jonny and his backup musicians are consummate musicians, not "boy band" members. The diversity of musical material and musical talent were extraordinary. The venue, Mountain Winery, was gorgeous...full moon, newly constructed ampitheater and walk-ways, lovely seating areas for eating/drinking, spectacular views.
Only sour note was the amplification level for the "intro" band on stage before Jonny. Sound engineer must have been deaf. The amplification level made it impossible to hear the singer's words and painful to hear the music. I had to leave the ampitheater..but enjoyed the music from the VIP bar area where it was muffled!
