Jimmy Buffett Concert Tickets

Jimmy Buffett is much more than a musician - he’s established a culture. With a remarkably loyal fan base, Buffett has developed an avid following similar to bands like the Grateful Dead. However, his catchy, timeless beach tunes have widespread mainstream appeal and go well beyond his legions of “Parrotheads.” Buffett has a long list ofclassic hits such as “Margaritaville,” “A Pirate Looks at Forty,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Why Don’t We Get Drunk,” “Volcano” and, more recently, &ldquot; It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere.” Buy your Jimmy Buffett tickets now to see one of America’s best singer-songwriters live!

Rise to fame
Buffett began his illustrious career in Nashville as a contributor for “Billboard Magazine.” He also performed on the street for tourists in hopes of becoming a country singer. By 1970, he recorded his first album, Down to Earth, which had a much more folksy sound that his later work. Soon Buffett relocated to Key West, and refined his sound with elements of rock, folk and pop, developing a beach bum persona all the while.

In 1973, Buffet released A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean, his second studio full-length. While the record wouldn’t immediately propel Buffett to stardom, it did contain the single “Why Don’t We Get Drunk” and helped catalyze his unique sound. He continued to regularly release albums throughout the rest of the 1970s, finding success with classic records such as Living and Dying in 3/4 Time, A1Aand Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes.

Long-term success
By the 1980s, Buffett had become a pop star, but his record sales slowed and he again dabbled in the country music market. Though he had never been much for touring, Buffett began hitting the road and found an increasing culture of Parrotheads, turning his live performances into a one-of-a-kind experience. During this time, Buffett began penning short stories and novels, and in time three of his books reached the New York Times Best Seller list. He also launched a Margaritaville clothing line and opened his first club. In total, Buffett released eight albums throughout the 80s, but after releasing Off to See the Lizard in 1989, took a five year break from the studio.

The Buffett empire continued to grow and the beach-bum icon launched his own Mailboat label in the early 2000s. Over the following years, Buffett released numerous live concert recordings and collaborated with artists such as Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson.
