Too Much Bad Language
By Long Island Native from Long Island, New York on 7/5/2010
Pros:
Brilliant Acting, Engaging Plot, Fantastic Music
Cons:
Difficult To Hear, HORRIBLE LANGUAGE
I grew up with the Four Seasons and had been looking forward to seeing this show since it first came out. Yes, I knew there was "some" bad language but no one told me how bad the language really was. After seeing the show, I researched the website more thoroughly and, in their own words, it said "enough swearing to make a truck driver on the Jersey Turnpike blush". Even my 19 year old son felt there was too much bad language. Had the people I knew told me the truth, I never would have gone to see it. This was a gift from my son and I was embarassed to watch it with him. The story, music and acting were very good but they could have cleaned up the language. Also, I felt they left out an important part of the Four Seasons history by not including the story about the Wonder Who. For those of you not familiar with the Wonder Who, the Four Seasons released two songs under that name (Don't Think Twice was one song) to prove that it was the sound of the Four Seasons and not the name that made people love their songs.
