The Jamboree in the Hills is a four-day festival that celebrates country music. The first Jamboree in the Hills festival was in 1977, where artists like Charlie Rich, Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Merle Haggard and Tammy Wynette performed for audiences. With each year, the event continued to bring in big names. The 1992 festival featured performers including Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, Trisha Yearwood and Willie Nelson. The Beach Boys even made an appearance in 2000, alongside Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar and Gary Allan.
