Jake Shimabukuro Concert Tickets

It's not often the ukulele makes its way into mainstream music, but the talented Jake Shimabukuro has managed to do just that. The Hawaii native has used the simple instrument to blend elements of blues, funk, rock and folk into a unique style all his own, and anybody who has picked up Jake Shimabukuro tickets can surely attest to his skill.

Shimaburkuro has been playing the ukulele since he was just 4 years old. Throughout much of his younger days, he developed a loyal fan following in his native Hawaii, but it wasn't until he entered his 20s that he achieved greater mainstream success. His first solo album, 2002's Sunday Morning, was a moderate success and helped set him down the path to stardom.

Over the next decade, Shimaburkuro has continued to grow in popularity. He has performed alongside everyone from Bette Midler to Jimmy Buffett, all while releasing new music. His 2007 album My Life was a worldwide hit and featured a number of ukulele covers including the Beatles classic "In My Life" as well as the Cyndi Lauper hit "Time After Time."

It remains to be seen whether the ukulele will ever become a staple in pop music, but Shimabukuro is certainly trying his best to make it happen.
