J. Cole Concert Tickets

J. Cole, aka singer and songwriter Jermaine Lamarr Cole, has been one of the most popular up-and-coming rappers since before his debut even hit shelves. With a distinct sound and unmistakable flow, the young MC and producer blends elements of soul, hip hop and pop music into an irresistible sound.

Cole first rose to fame through a series of three mixtapes that garnered considerable acclaim: The Come Up, The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights. It was his second release, The Come Up, released in 2007, that featured a number of popular tracks and got him noticed by hip hop mogul Jay Z, who subsequently signed Cole to his label, Roc Nation. Several tracks on the mixtape were produced by Kanye West. Cole would stay with Jay Z’s label until moving on to form his own imprint, Dreamville Records, and signing distribution agreements with Interscope.

In 2011, Cole released his first studio album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. The record experienced considerable commercial success, being certified gold for selling more than half a million units. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts and featured popular singles including “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Trey Songz, &ldquoIn the Morning&rdquo featuring Drake, “Work Out” and “Nobody's Perfect” featuring Missy Elliot.

A benchmark of his career early on came with the release of his second studio album, Born Sinner, which was put out in June 2013 and sold nearly 300,000 copies in its first week. The album featured collaborations with other stars from the worlds of hip hop and pop, such as Missy Elliot and Miguel.
