Indigo Girls Concert Tickets

In the mid 1980s, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers began performing together as The B-band, but in 1985 took on the name Indigo Girls and began to make their mark on the music scene. Get your Indigo Girls tickets now to hear their folk music and guitar playing LIVE.

While the duo struggled initially to make a splash, the success of Tracy Chapman, 10,000 Maniacs and Suzanne Vega provided an outlet for the Indigo Girls to be the next big thing and they were signed by Epic Records.

The Indigo Girls formula of unique sounds, distinct personalities and guitar playing has proven to be a good one, and with two decades of music behind them, the group has developed quite a core of followers.

The Indigo Girls created their own distinctive sound that combines Salier's gentler styling with Ray's harder hitting sound. Salier has been compared to Joni Mitchell while Ray is likened to the Jam and the Pretenders.

The duo has produced 14 studio records, three live records and three greatest hits compilations. They boast seven gold records with four of them going platinum, one reaching double platinum, more than 12 million records sold and a Grammy.
