The Il Divo concert at the Mann Music Center last night was spectacular overall. Il Divo's voices, individually and in unison, are magnificent, and the four stars are quite entertaining in between musical offerings. However, the concert would have been far more enjoyable for my husband and me if the following hadn't occurred: 1) blinding strobe lights shining directly into our eyes intermittently; 2) overly loud orchestral accompaniment during a number of musical intervals, making it difficult to hear the singers as well as we would have liked; 3) over-amplification of the singers' voices at times. That being said, we don't regret attending the concert; we just think it could have been even more fabulous than it was. Detracting in any way from these 4 marvelous singers' performances is most unfortunate.

il divo helps keep my world uplifting and happy. as soon as i hear their voices. i feel good inside. i listen to their cds as often as i can. they have brought back the most important thing to me in music, their voices. i have not heard such wonderful sounds ever. god must have kissed their vocal cords as soon as the were born. if they are as true to a women , as they sing about . they must be gods. perhaps someday i will get to meet and listen to these platinum voices.
