We had seen Huey Lewis and the News at one of the casinos a couple of months ago. It was good, but not as good as Sunday night. We had a fabulous time. I've been to Humphrey's several times and I think it's one of the best venues around. The only thing I don't like is how close the seats are to each other (side to side and front to back).

Huey Lewis & The News Concert Tickets

San Francisco is home to the Golden Gate Bridge, streetcars and one very popular band. Huey Lewis & the News stole the hearts of fans not only in the Bay State, but also in bars and small nightclubs around the nation in the 1970 through the mid-1980s. Fans of this easy to sing along with light rock band might be interested in picking up Huey Lewis & The News tickets to jam out with fellow fans.

The original band included Huey Lewis and Sean Hopper. After a few years of touring small clubs stateside, producer Nick Lowe enticed Hopper and Lewis to head across the pond for a bigger following. Lowe produced the group's debut single, "Chicken Funk," before the band went their separate ways for some time. Hopper and the rest of the News backed a record for Elvis Costello, while Lewis branched out on his own.

By the late 1970s, Lewis and Hopper got back together and started the group American Express along with Mario Cipollina on bass, Johnny Colla on saxophone and guitar, and Bill Gibson on drums. They released a few songs including "Exodisco" and were offered a contract by Chrysalis in 1980, under one condition - that they change the band's name.

As Huey Lewis & the News, the group scored multiple hit singles including "The Power of Love" from the "Back to the Future" soundtrack as well as "The Heart of Rock and Roll" and "Hip to Be Square."
