Hozier Tickets

Irish singer and songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne, known as Hozier, has been making a name for himself in the music industry with a soulful voice and sound. His hit single “Take Me to Church” made him a global sensation in 2014, and that was only the beginning for him. Don’t miss out on your chance to see him live. Buy your Hozier tickets today!

The Hozier history
Hozier-Byrne was born in Ireland in 1990 on March 17, which just happens to be St. Patrick’s Day. Growing up as a son of a local blues musician, he spent his youth immersed in different styles of music. Hozier started studying for a degree in music at Trinity College, Dublin, where he was a member of the Trinity Orchestra and the chorale ensemble Anúna. He dropped out during his first year to record demos for Universal Music.

Hozier got his first taste of fame after he released a solo EP “Take Me to Church” in 2013. His music video, which represents discrimination against gay people in Russia, went viral and resulted in a global audience. The song reached No. 1 on the Irish iTunes Singles Chart and No. 2 in the official chart. Hozier then released a new EP, From Eden, which contained the songs “From Eden,” “Work Song,” “Arsonist’s Lullabye” and a live version of “To Be Alone.”

After the rise
In September 2014, Hozier released his self-titled album, which contained 13 tracks, including the songs that were on his earlier EPs. His lyrics are poignant yet eloquent, combining politically charged subjects like rape culture in “To Be Alone” and the aforementioned gay rights in “Take Me to Church.” And yet most of his songs embody the terrifyingly beautiful metaphors and emotions love can elicit, like in “Work Song” where he sings, “No grave, can hold my body down / I’ll crawl home to her.” Later in 2014, it was announced that “Take Me to Church” was nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year.

Hozier’s true talent makes his live performances captivating and enjoyable. His soulfulness is contagious and his music embodies all his musical influences - soul, blues, rock and folk.
