Hootie & The Blowfish Tickets - Hootie & The Blowfish Tour

The band's name originated from two of Darius Rucker's childhood acquaintances. There were two boys in Rucker's childhood choir group--one with owl-like eyes (Hootie) and the other with puffy Blowfish-like cheeks. Colloquially, Rucker is referred to as "Hootie" and the remaining members of the band as "The Blowfish," in accord with the name of the band.

Hootie and The Blowfish Concert Tickets

Hootie and The Blowfish was one of the most popular American rock bands of the 1990s. In their heyday, grunge was all the rage, but they managed to win the heart of the mainstream scene with catchy, blues-tinged pop. If you want a chance to see these iconic rockers LIVE on stage, get your Hootie and The Blowfish tickets before they're all gone.

This act came together in the mid-1980s, when the four members met as freshmen at the University of South Carolina in Columbia - lead guitarist Mark Bryan heard lead singer Darius Rucker belting out a tune in the dorm showers and instantly spotted his talent. After that, they started crafting their unique sound and produced their debut album, Cracked Rear View. This instant hit brought the band to fame. It's gone platinum 16 times and is ranked in the top 20 all-time best-selling albums in the country.

To date, these guys have put out five studio albums and dropped 16 singles that have reached the Billboard charts. While they aren't actively producing music anymore, they still perform charity concerts and the occasional Hootie and The Blowfish tour. Don't miss your chance to see them play LIVE!
