the best rock blues ... Anywhere.
By whole lotta rock from Phoenix, AZ on 11/19/2008
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Great Opening Acts, Great Sound
Best For:
Adults

NYC's Beacon Theater Dec 30 2006. Mississippi Allstars opened. Warren came out to add some slide on a couple numbers and give the audience a taste of what was coming. Awesome interaction between the bands! Mule came out and played -the sound of the Soldano and Diaz rigs on that stage 30 feet away with Warren playing was just unmatched! The Beacon floated on a sweet haze of icky and the sound of Warren's Les Paul peeling flakes of paint away on select stinging passages just burned the experience into my memory forever - the fact that the Beacon was coming under new management after this show (getting sucked up by the owners of MSG) made this show extra special too.

Great show you can't really say anything bad about warren haynes I mean come on who do you think you are only thing that I noticed is that upstairs if you weren't on the balcony rail you couldn't see very well and the sound was almost echoy up there but otherwise would definetly catch another show at house of blues

we went to nyc for nye and we wished they would have played more mule tracks. we felt they were more of a cover band and could have played more of the own stuff! venue ran out of bottled water after the first set and they played well after 2:00 am. very poor!

Gov't Mule Concert Tickets

Originally formed as a side project by members of the Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule has risen to become a popular act in its own right. For nearly 20 years, the southern rock stalwarts are a summer concert staple, and Gov't Mule tickets offer music fans the chance to see one of the most talented bands around.

Gov't Mule can trace its roots to 1994 when Warren Haynes and Allan Woody decided to begin playing together after the Allman Brothers Band did not put out new material. The newly formed group released its self-titled debut album in 1995 to a moderate reception. Despite its modest performance on the charts, it was a critical favorite and helped set the stage for what would prove to be a successful next 10 years.

Throughout the 2000s, Gov't Mule started to forge a reputation as a must-see live act - and it's easy to see why. The band regularly welcomes guest performers ranging from Victor Wooten of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones to Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band. After growing its loyal fan base even larger, Gov't Mule released 2009's By a Thread, which proved to be their biggest commercial and critical success.
