Gipsy Kings Muddled Sound at Myerson

Poor Sound Quality

The Gipsy Kings did a great show and are not responsible for the bad quality of sound in the Myerson. We were center section 14th row. As long as the songs were instrumental, they were great. As soon as the guys started singing it was muddled--the instruments drowned out the vocals. Myerson: get this fixed for your next pop band or we're never coming back.

Worst crowd I've ever seen for the Gypsey Kings. I think it's the venue - the Bass Hall concert a few years ago was much much better. The band was as always great but the show was way too short.

Gipsy Kings Concert Tickets
They may hail from France, but the Gipsy Kings perform Spanish-influenced music better than anyone. Since their first burst on the scene in the 1980s, the group has managed to popularize rumba flamenca style, and thanks to the iconic vocals of lead singer Nicolas Reyes, Gipsy Kings tickets remain a popular item today.

The Gipsy Kings got their start performing in southern France in the late '70s under the name Los Reyes. Although they enjoyed a small, but loyal, fan following in their native country, it was evident they were destined for greater things on the world music scene. The Gipsy Kings' breakthrough came in 1988 with the release of their self-titled album. The record included a number of hit songs, but their version of the Venezuelan song "Bamboleo," earned them worldwide recognition and fame. Now a household name, the Gipsy Kings continued to gain fans throughout the '90s, and their cover of The Eagles classic "Hotel California," is one of the most famous versions of the song.
