It was fun and awesome with the diversity in bands, yet they all played guitar really well.
I saw Gigantour 2006 at the Nassau Colisseum in NY. The turnout for the concert was disappointingly small. They had Arch Enemy go on stage before Overkill, and because I was late, I missed them. The sound and lights were good, but there just seemed to be something missing. Opeth put on a good show, despite the fact that there was an idiot screaming for them to "get off the stage, [...]." Lamb of God provided the biggest turnout, and after they got off the stage, half the stadium left. Megadeth rocked, but the highly anticipated encore never came. All in all, I wouldn't be too quick to rank this concert experience as one of the best. I think I've had more fun at CBGB's.
show was great, however,BEWARE of NYC public transit...had to take umpteen trains, subways and buses and taxis.THAT SUCKED BIG TIME.it made it all worthwhile to get to see a legend like dave mustaine, and we also got to see ground zero earlier that day.security was so lax that anyone could have snuck a weapon into the coliseum, and that made me uneasy.
