Opening act was better.
By wanted to be a fan : ( from Wendover, NV on 3/12/2011
Offensive not funny

Saw in Wendover and I loved the opening act. I thought I was going to pee my pants I was laughing so hard. It made up for the late start then had to watch clips from Lopez tonight that I found funny then Geore finally came out. He looked pretty rough and not very happy to be there. He was quite a vulgar and very racist and some of his jokes just were not funny. The part that bothered me the most was his thoughts of drinking and drugs. As apparent by his behavior I think he is user of both but to make a comedy act on the basis that it is okay to use deadly narcotics I find disturbing. He has some anger issues towards his estranged wife and the family that raised him and instead of making light humor towards them it comes across as an anger.

I don't recommend George Lopez Live
By LovetheLight from Las Vegas, NV on 2/20/2011
Boring Plot, Insulting to women, Vulgar

I recently saw George Lopez live in Las Vegas. I have always had high regard for his comedy, and have admired his achievements. I was excited to attend his show, but the performance itself was very painful for me. The opening stand-up comic was vulgar, using the F word over 100 times. Yet his act was more appealing to me than George's, because even though he made fun of women and others, he also poked fun at himself and had positive things to say about his targets as well. George had only negative things to say about the female sex, casting aspersions on them in almost every joke. Most of his jokes were of a sexual nature, and every single joke was peppered with raunchy language. That he turned negatively political and then racist against Asians and had nothing at all good to say about women, even the grandmother that raised him was just too much. I would have walked out if I was by myself and was sorry that the bar was closed during his act, because this non-drinker really wanted a drink to soften the blows of his jokes. I will never attend another George Lopez stand-up show. I am sad that this extremely gifted man doesn't use his talent to cheer and unite audiences, instead of offend and alienate large groups of people.

racist, white hater, vulgar
By offended white guy from las vegas on 2/20/2011

went to this show and was thoroughly disappointed. lopez is racist, hates white people, is totally over the top against women who he opened by referring to them as hookers, spent most of his short show (after showing up late), talking about womens body parts after they have children, he said the latinos will elect the next president? he does alot of his bit in spanish so only him and spanish speakers can follow, GEORGE IS PROMOTING OBAMA AND MADE STUPID COMMENTS ABOUT JOHN MCCAINS ARMS. JOHN MCCAIN IS A WAR HERO WHO FOUGHT SO YOU COULD BECOME FAMOUS AND WEALTHY YOU IDIOT. I DONT EVEN LIKE JOHN MCCAIN BUT THIS WAS A LOW THAT NOONE SHOULD STOOP TO. WOW. UNBELIEVABLE. anyway needless to say, hated your show. and so did most of the other people who didnt even know how to respond at the end. very little clapping when he walked off stage, and no encore. i was personally sickened by it. you may make me think i need to join a white group that promotes white values? since you are apparenlty trying to rail against white people and to take over.

I was a fan before the show!
By Was a fan, but not so much anymore from Phoenix, AZ on 2/2/2011
Fantastic Music
Amateurish, Boring Plot, Too Short

Show was supposed to start at 8. There was a band playing starting at 7. They were very good, but they quit at 8. Opening act came from 8:30-9. George didn't come onto the stage til 10:30! He must think that because he is famous that he can waste all of our time. Also, I HATE it when comedians, musicians, etc speak political views. Make jokes, not chant F the govenor and F the sherrif. Half the audience didnt even chant with him and the other half was drunk! He was only on stage like 35 min and half that was politics talk. His opening act was FAR funnier than he was! We even left early it was so lame! Watch him on TV, he is funny and great! I love his shows. See him live...BIG WASTE OF MONEY!
