George Lopez Comedy Tickets

George Lopez is a comedian, talk show personality and actor hailing from the Mission Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. Few comedians are quite as versatile as Lopez. Whether it be creating his own sitcom or hosting his own talk show, the California native does it all. However, his first foray into comedy theater was on stage, and today comedy fans clamor for George Lopez tickets.

Born in Los Angeles, Lopez was abandoned by his parents in his early years, leaving him in the care of his grandmother. He had a gift for comedy and public speaking from a young age, and became active in Los Angeles’ stand-up comedy scene in the early 1980s. Since then, Lopez has gone on to tour regularly as well as produced several television shows: “George Lopez,” “Lopez Tonight” and “St. George.”

Funnyman Lopez has gained quite the fan base throughout his career. Although Lopez is best known for his work on television now, he originally got his start in show business through radio. Eventually, he transitioned to stand-up comedy and by 2000, he was getting approached for movie roles.

In 2002, Lopez was given a huge opportunity when he launched his own sitcom. The aptly titled sitcom, “George Lopez” ran for five years and earned generally favorable reviews from critics and viewers alike. In 2006, Lopez received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was named one of Time magazine’s top 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America. He really made a name for himself with the HBO comedy special, “Tall, Dark and Chicano” and his headlining appearance on the HBO comedy special “America’s Mexican” in 2007.

Then, in 2009 he was given his own talk show, “Lopez Tonight,” which ran through summer 2011. While “St. George” was not renewed after its first season, “George Lopez” eventually achieved syndication. Lopez also had a quick stint as a late-night talk show host with “Lopez Tonight,” which aired for two seasons on TBS after Conan. He has been rumored to be starting a political campaign to run for the mayor of Los Angeles.

Although he’s bounced around on television and film, Lopez’s comedic chops have never wavered. With a knack for goofy facial expressions and one-liners, Lopez has been consistently in the spotlight as one of the funniest men in comedy today. Lopez’s comedy is sure to cause a few belly-deep chuckles and some roaring laughter from the moment he takes the stage. Lopez has a style of humor that centers on his Mexican-American heritage, often drawing from his own experiences to make poignant and humorous remarks about racial interaction in America. Purchase your George Lopez tickets today for a night of edgy comedy that explores race relations, friendship and the Mexican-American lifestyle.
