Free Press Summer Fest Tickets

The Free Press Summer Festival is an annual music event held in Houston, Texas. This two-day fest started in 2009 and grew to host over 160 acts by 2011. The attendance has peaked at over 60,000, rivaling many of the other large musical events throughout the country. Free Press sets itself apart by featuring more than just musical acts, it also draws crowds for its fireworks, interactive art installations, off-site parties, a paint slide and music workshops. All art and indie music enthusiasts should make sure to get their Free Press Summer Fest tickets

Started by Free Press Houston, this event was organized with the intent to feature both local musicians and artists. The organizers sold specialty VIP passes to those who wanted to get a good view of the stage and wanted access to the best vendors. These VIP tickets were called Fancy Pants Tent tickets. The Fancy Pants Tent was an electronic music tent that featured private performances. Fans found these exclusive ticket prices to be too high, and before the 2011 festival, the Free Press made the Fancy Pants Tent open for all. The 2014 festival featured large acts like Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Zedd and Lauryn Hill.
