Foster the People Concert Tickets

Foster the People are an American indie pop trio consisting of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster, Jacob Fink on bass and Mark Pontius on drums. The band’s ethereal, dance-oriented sound has brought about radio hits such as “Pumped Up Kicks,” “Houdini,” “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls)” and “Coming of Age.” Buy your Foster the People tickets now to experience this dance-pop sensation!

Foster the People formed in Los Angeles in 2009. Foster moved to LA when he was only 18, and for years worked various jobs while struggling to make it as a musician. Eventually, Foster began working as a commercial jingle writer, which reestablished his confidence and inspired him to rekindle his creative ventures. In 2009, Pontius formed a friendship with Foster and left his current band, Malbec. The two began working together and recruited Foster’s longtime friend Fink to play bass. Originally, the group went by the stage? name Foster & the People, but dropped the ’and’ because people misheard it as Foster the People.

In 2010, the band posted the single “Pumped Up Kicks” on their website and it soon generated significant buzz. The band gained attention from several major labels and signed with Startime International, an imprint of Columbia Records. Foster the People’s self-titled EP was released in early 2011, and the single “Pumped Up Kicks” became a hit across the globe.

To the present
In summer 2011 Foster the People released its debut album, Torches, and then hit the road on tour across North America and Europe. The band then won the Billboard Music Award for top rock song for “Pumped Up Kicks” in 2012. During this time, the trio was nominated for numerous other accolades including two MTV Music Video Awards, two Teen Choice Awards, two Grammys and a BRIT award.

The band’s follow up to Torches was anticipated for late 2013, but Columbia delayed the album until the first quarter of the next year. Foster the People released its sophomore album, Supermodel, in March 2014. The album included hits such as “Coming of Age,” “Best Friends” and “Are You What You Want to Be?” Foster the People tour with several supporting musicians to create exhilarating live performances with an atmospheric sound.
