Foreigner and Styx with special guest Ka
By Falshooter762 from Aurora CO on 5/31/2010
Pros:
Good sax player
Best For:
Old Folks

Foreigner and Styx with special guest Kansas Red Rocks Amphitheatre Morrison, CO Kansas a band 35 years in the making, and what seemed to be a good start to a great evening, instead I saw a bunch of middle-aged guys all seeming to suffer from an ex-alcoholics' lack of energy run through an uninspiring set. It was such a shame that they opened for Foreigner and Styx. When Styx came on I was feeling somewhat lackluster "Influence and Innovation" Styx didn't show it, Foreigner, Styx and Kansas. Don't put them in the same bag ever again. They may have had many hits, had a lot of good songs, but that doesn't matter. Musical talent doesn't even matter. The only thing that matters with the hall is "Influence and Innovation", and Styx didn't do anything new, nor did they influence anyone. They won't get in; I'm a sorry Styx fan. Foreigner Which is why I can't understand the popularity of the recent 'dinotour' trend of ancient rockers dusting off their decades old hits and walking through them for the thousandth time, AND PEOPLE PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EACH TO SEE THEM, the lead singer was no more than a Mick Jaeger copy resurrected from the 60's but a very poor copy. Foreigner's new songs failed to even raise a toe tap. Over all this was one of the worst Rock Concerts I had attended in decades Sadly disappointed

Foreigner concert was awesome!
By Lesli from Yakima, Washington on 4/10/2010
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Great Opening Acts, Great Sound
Best For:
Everyone

Tickets were only [$] at Central Washington State Fair, Sept, 2008. They had lots of free seating where people who couldn't get tickets could hear, and the singer even climbed up on something so they could see him. They were perfect. Sounded just like the radio. If you bought a cd before concert started, you were in a drawing for a free, signed guitar they gave away at the end. They let everyone come up close to the stage after for pictures. They sounded awesome, and I'd like to see them again. This time I'd bring my son and his friends.

Foreigner Concert Tickets

Some music from the 1970s and 1980s has stood the test of time, and that is certainly true for Foreigner. With a long list of classic tunes, the iconic New York City-based band has been a staple on the radio for decades, and today Foreigner tickets offer fans both young and old a taste of days gone by.

Foreigner is the brainchild of English rock star Mick Jones who teamed up with a number of other talented musicians in the mid-70s. Jones and Lou Gram co-authored some of Foreigner's most memorable hits, including the band's best-selling debut LP, "Hot Blooded," as well as "Double Vision" and the chart-topping ballad, "I want to Know What Love is," among others. After playing together, it was not long before the newly formed band released its self-titled debut, which hit shelves in 1977. The record was one of the biggest hits of the year and produced a number of popular tunes including "Feels Like the First Time" and "Cold As Ice."

Encouraged by the success of his band's debut, along with the subsequent two follow ups, Jones and the gang entered the 1980s riding high. Their 1981 album 4 spawned a number of other hits and by the middle of the decade, Foreigner had established itself as a mainstay in the pop rock world. Jones also produced music for Van Halen and Billy Joel during a brief break from the band in 1986. By 1989 the band was back in business despite losing Gramm to a solo career, they returned in 91 with Unusual Heat, following the album up with 93's Mr. Moonlight.

Today, while they may not have the same album sales as years past, their performances are no less legendary. Don’t miss your chance to see these rock icons perform LIVE! Buy your Foreigner tickets before they sell out!
