Florida Panthers Hockey Tickets

The Florida Panthers, established in 1993, are a professional ice hockey team that are part of the Eastern Conference of the NHL. Current members of the Southeast Division, the Panthers play their home games at BankAtlantic Center located in sunny Sunrise, Florida. The Panthers played their first game in late 1993 against the vigorous Chicago Blackhawks, tying the game 4-4. Their first win came against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the form of a 2-0 shutout in front of a record crowd exceeding 27,000. The team's freshman season hit the books as one of the most successful for any NHL expansion team in history. Through their conservative, coarse style of on-ice action the team earned a keen fan base that drove the sale of Florida Panthers tickets.

During the first few seasons of the Panthers' hockey career the team had the playoffs within their reach. In 1996 the franchise made their first playoff appearance where they took down the Boston Bruins, the top-seeded Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins before succumbing to the Colorado Avalanche. Over the next decade and then some the Florida Panthers had a hard go of it, recording some of the worst seasons in NHL history. The team was wracked by injuries and bad draft picks. By 2010 the team had missed 10 consecutive playoffs, setting a then current longest run in the NHL. Still, the Panthers continue to battle it out with their Southeast Division rivals in the hopes of snatch that elusive Stanley Cup Finals victory.
