Florida Panthers Hockey Tickets

Florida might seem more like a surfing and beach volleyball state than a hockey state, but fans of the battle on the ice are in luck, thanks to the Florida Panthers. The Panthers have been around since 1993 and are a part of the Eastern Conference of the NHL, playing their home games at BB&T Center located in sunny Sunrise, Florida. Aside from having a fierce name and mascot, the franchise has had some success over its 20-year span, making Florida panthers tickets a hot commodity.

The team's freshman season hit the books as one of the most successful for any NHL expansion team in history. Through their conservative style of play the team earned a keen fan base that drove the sale of Florida Panthers tickets. The Panthers played their first game in late 1993 against the vigorous Chicago Blackhawks, tying the game 4-4. Their first win came against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the form of a 2-0 shutout in front of a record crowd exceeding 27,000.

During the first few seasons of the Panthers' hockey career, the team had the playoffs within their reach. In 1996, the franchise made its first playoff appearance where the team took down the Boston Bruins, the top-seeded Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins before succumbing to the Colorado Avalanche. The team was swept by the Colorado Avalanche in game four. Over the next decade and then some, the Florida Panthers had a hard go of it, recording some of the worst seasons in NHL history. The team was wracked by injuries and bad draft picks.

By 2010, the team had missed 10 consecutive playoffs. Still, the Panthers continued to battle it out with their rivals in the hopes of snatching that elusive Stanley Cup Finals victory. Panthers' fans saw the team make the playoffs for the first time in 12 years during the 2011-12 season.

Despite making the playoffs, the home team was eliminated by the New Jersey Devils in game seven of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Will this be the Panthers' season? Don't miss the exciting play the Panthers serve up on the ice! Buy your Florida Panthers tickets now!
