The Serendipity of Magic
By LeCoeurDuLion from Atlanta on 6/29/2008
A Perfect Atlanta Night, A Seasoned Mature Artist, Cherished Friends, The Ambience of Chastain
Best For:

Who knows when one of those perfect evenings is going to happen? I heard that Emmylou Harris was performing at Chastain and pondered the possibility of tickets for myself and some friends. Through TicketsNow now I ended up with a table for six at the foot of the stage! I never would have thought it possible to find such tickets in a million years. It was if we were the only people at the venue that evening. It was magic. I have received emails from each of my friends expressing appreciation for a memory-making night. TicketsNow opened the door for me to enjoy one of the best evenings of my life.

John Prine and Emmylou

Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores, Great Lighting, Great Sound, Red Rocks Amphitheater on
Emmylou's Songs too simil, Poor Set List
Best For:

John Prine is a legend with a cult-like following. 90% of the Audience knew his songs verbatum and were totally into the show. I like to see the reactions to his lyrics by those few who are unfamiliar. Emmylou, one of the great vocal talents out there, dissappointed. The band was too much and not that good. The songs all sounded much the same, so her set selection could've been better.

Emmylou Harris Concert Tickets

When it comes to making music that speaks to a generation, famed artist Emmylou Harris certainly fits the bill. The crooner, who's been making records for decades, has proved her passion throughout her entire career.

Harris spent much of her childhood in North Carolina, before moving to Woodbridge, Va., where she graduated at the top of her class. Despite being book smart, Harris decided to take a dramatic scholarship at the University of North Carolina to hone in on her true love - music. There, she was able to listen to and learn how to play songs by the legendary Bob Dylan, before moving to New York to sing folk and club music on her own.

After a shaky start to her career - she got pregnant while making her first record, Gliding Bird, before her label went under - she was able to eventually make a name for herself in 1971. Since then, she's released more than 10 albums and worked with icons including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Elvis Costello, Peter Gabrielle, U2 and Neil Young. With such a seasoned and impressive resume, it's no wonder crowds buy Emmylou Harris tickets to see this legend perform live.
