Eminem Concert Tickets

Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem has been known to cause a little controversy, whether it's his explicit lyrics or his tendency to have it out with other artists, including ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey. One thing's for sure, Eminem knows how to attract attention and he has the heart and quick rap skills to back up his attitude. If you're lucky enough to snag Eminem tickets, you'll get the chance to see "The Real Slim Shady" LIVE.

Eminem raised a lot of commotion when he burst onto the scene, not only for his striking lyrics and his effortlessly fast rap skills, but also because he was white. Marshall Mathers grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised in the school of hard knocks. His self-professed, nightmarish upbringing is the foundation for much of Eminem’s music, and is reflected in songs like “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” “My Name Is” and “Mockingbird.”

The rapper dropped his first album, Infinite, in 1996, but it received little attention. He later put together The Slim Shady EP, which landed him a contract with Interscope Records. Eminem proved his rap skills during the 1997 Rap Olympics MC Battle in Los Angeles when he came in second, earning the attention of executive Jimmy Iovine. The famous exec thought Eminem had talent and handed his EP to off to Dr. Dre who signed the rising rapper to his record label, Aftermath Entertainment. From there, the two started their long history together.

2002 saw the young rapper claim even more attention with the release of the film 8 Mile, staring Marshall Mathers. The film mirrored the life of Mathers, mimicking his childhood, his introduction to rap, his personal struggles and an affliction with drugs. The movie was nominated for and won a host of awards including the Academy Award for Best Original Song for Eminem's "Lose Yourself." Mathers has released multiple No. 1 albums and has had many top of the chart hits including 8 Miles's Academy Award-winning song, "Lose Yourself," as well as "Stan" and 2010's "Not Afraid."

Eminem’s music and lyrics evoke powerful, expressive reactions with long-form raps that are liquid, flowing seamlessly from thought to thought. It’s easy to see the influences of Dr. Dre and the Beastie Boys here, though the one thing you see little of is “The Real Slim Shady.” That was saved for Relapse, Eminem’s 2009 album release, in which the hip-hop artist debuted his sober self. Subsequent LIVE concerts with Jay-Z in 2010 further cemented Eminem’s relevance. Mathers has performed LIVE in concert with mentor Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Limp Bizkit, among others. During 2010-2012's Recovery Tour Lil Wayne opened up for Eminem.

"The Real Slim Shady" brings presence to his LIVE performances with his authentic personality, in-your-face attitude and serious skills. Eminem’s hold over his audience is undeniable. "Lose Yourself" in the moment and the music. Buy your Eminem tickets today!
