Elton John Tickets

Without question, Elton John is one of the most recognizable and significant figures in all of popular culture. His career has already spanned more than 50 years and generated countless timeless hits, such as “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Candle in the Wind” and “Your Song,” among many others. John has become more than a musician, transforming himself into a major presence in nearly all forms of major media throughout his career. He is beloved by fans around the world and routinely sells out massive arenas and stadiums when he tours. While his immense fan base and notoriety are an incredible testament to his musical ability, the only way to truly take in this wonder for yourself is to purchase your Elton John tickets today!

Early years
John wasn’t always known by his stage name. He was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Middlesex, England, in 1947. He adopted the name Elton John early in his career in reference to two major influences on his music, John Baldry and Elton Dean. John was raised by his grandparents for much of his younger years, as his parents didn’t marry until he was nearly 7 years old. He showed an interest in music early on in life, experimenting with many musical instruments but developing a particular fondness for the piano. By the time he was 17 years old, John decided to leave his education to pursue a career in music.

Rise to fame and commercial career
From the time he was a teenager, John held an immense interest in performing. He secured several gigs at pubs around his hometown playing piano and singing for the local patrons. By the late 1960s, he had begun to play with a number of other artists from the area, ultimately assembling a group with which to record his first album, Empty Sky. That record was released in 1969 and received considerable fanfare in the U.K., though it was nothing in contrast to the heights of popularity John would find later in his career. As John began to tour across the U.K., he was working on his second album, an eponymously titled record that was released in 1970. That record featured several hits that drove it to international success and notoriety. One of those tracks, “Your Song,” still reigns today as one of John’s greatest hits, a perennial crowd favorite.

Other releases and notable awards
Throughout his expansive career, John has released more than 25 other albums, nearly all of which have been commercially successful. Among his largest titles are Tumbleweed Connection, Madman Across the Water, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rock of the Westies, A Single Man, Victim of Love, Breaking Hearts, Ice on Fire, Peachtree Road, The One, Made in England, and The Big Picture. In honor of his incredible work, John has received multiple awards including Grammies, Academy, Golden Globe, and Tony Award.
