Loud Crowd
By Jim the Punner from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on 1/26/2009
Pros:
Convenient Access, Great Atmosphere, High Energy, Oilers Won, Stadium Packed, The Crowd Loved It
Cons:
Mediocre food
Best For:
Everyone, Exciting people, Interesting people, New To The Sport, Out-Of-Towners

I would consider a game a year as it's a bit pricey for me, but still well worth it. I love when Montreal visits, because there are lots of fans of both teams who cheer hard, but I actually love both teams. To correct an earlier comment, the access by public transportation is excellent, as there's a train station immediately in front of the arena which goes straight downtown every five minutes.

Edmonton Oilers Hockey Tickets

The Edmonton Oilers, founded in 1971 as members of the WHA, are a professional ice hockey team that are current members of the Western Conference in the NHL. Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the team plays their home games at Rexall Place. Initially the team was known as the Alberta Oilers, as they were anticipated to be one of two hockey teams in the province. The other local team folded before even hitting the ice, leading the Oilers to go back to their Edmonton title just one year into their career.

While many teams spiral into oblivion after leagues merge, the Oilers proved to be an anomaly by flourishing upon their entrance to the NHL. In the following decade the Edmonton Oilers garnered multiple conference and division championships, two Presidents' Trophies and five Stanley Cup triumphs. Fans went wild for Edmonton Oilers tickets and the team reached legendary status being dubbed a dynasty by the Hockey Hall of Fame.

A surprising move in an era of success, famed player Wayne Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. This shift, accompanied by other changes in the team's roster, saw a downshift in their quality of play. Over the next 15 years and spanning into the post-lockout years uneven play saw the Oilers on a roller coaster ride of wins and losses, never quite able to recapture the glory of the 1980s. Still, the Oilers continued to play hard, serving up some serious on-ice action to their Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche foes.
