Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Encores
Cons:
Poor Sound Quality, Too Short
Best For:
Everyone
As always, the Dixie Chicks came out and rocked the house. This is the third time I've seen them, and Natalie, Marty, and Emily are better than ever. The sound quality was a little questionable in the beginning, but seemed to improve a bit after a few songs. The set list was appropriate for everyone, including most of their radio hits, but as a die hard, it would have been nice to hear a few more from the first album Wide Open Spaces. The graphics and lighting were somewhat harsh and unrefined, however this is probably due to the low ticket sales of this tour and the resulting smaller budget. The DCX are a force of talent and truth, and are fortified by the opposition to their opinions. My suggestion for the DCX next tour, is smaller venues with more dates. Getting a little more down and dirty might prove to be gratifying to the Chicks.
