Really a WONDERFUL eveining!

A lovely evening at the Hollywood bowl. Diana Krall is getting more and more comfortable on stage, and now you feel like she is a personal acquaintance. Loved her rapport with both the audience and her (EXCELLENT) band. Diana has a way of making old songs sound new. You can still hear and recognize the "old favorite" (I've grown accustomed to his face) but it sounds BRAND NEW. Her long-time back up band are accomplished pros who have worked together for awhile and it shows. Beautiful musical conversations taking place on stage - have not seen another artist at this more restrained, grown up level do this since Tony Bennet. Just wonderful! A wonderful evening for families, young and old.

Krall/Botti at Rivina

Ravina is the perfect place to see a concert of this type and niether Chris Botti or Diana Krall disapointed us. My wife and I had a wonderful evening together.

Both opening act, Chris B. and the main event were worthy events. The venue was unique. Diana Krall was "Grace Under Fire" with pelting rain, floodded stage, soggy piano, and rain-drenched patrons jostling with rain gear and umbrellas. With an abundance of towels and her professional demeanor, and while under attack by Mother Nature, even her slightly abreviated performance was worth the arduous trek I undertook to get to the event. However, I don't believe I'll attend another outdoor performance without a rain check; [...]
