The concert was a complete waste of time
By Doe from Kansas City, KS on 8/5/2006
Pros:
Crowd Was In To It, Engaging Stage Presence, Great Lighting, Great Sound
Cons:
Only played 4 songs, Too Short
Best For:
No One

The lead singer had to leave the stage after only 4 songs due to a case of laringitis. They tried to carry on for a few more songs but then the others left the stage as well. It was understandable that they could not continue, but they offered no refunds or even a reschedule for another concert.

This was my first time seeing Depeche Mode live, and let me tell you this concert was phenomenal! They sound just as well live as they do on the CD. I will be there if and when they come back to the area. This concert was by far one of the best I have been to in a very long time. The sounds, the lighting, everything was just perfect!!!

Depeche Mode Concert Tickets

For more than 30 years, Depeche Mode has been one of the most popular British rock bands in the world. The Essex-based trio has seen some changes over the years, but that has not diminished its loyal fan following, which continues to pick up Depeche Mode tickets as soon as they become available.

Depeche Mode got its start in late 1970s when lead singer Dave Gahan teamed up with Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher. After performing together for several years, the band released its debut album, Speak & Spell in 1981. The album was a moderate success in the U.K., eventually cracking the top 10 on the charts. When the band hit the shores of the U.S. in 1982, they shared the stage with Ministry. Over the next several years, Depeche Mode's popularity grew in Europe, but the band was still waiting on a breakout overseas. Still, the band's star was on the rise as was evidenced by gigs they played with top billers like U2 and R.E.M.

The wait for popularity in the United States ended with the release of Music for the Masses, Depeche Mode's 1987 breakout album. A critical favorite, the record features some of the band's best known tracks including "Strangelove" and "Behind the Wheel."

During the ensuing two-plus decades, Depeche Mode continued to be one of the most prolific bands in the industry. The 2009 album Sounds of the Universe, was a global hit and topped the charts in more than 15 countries.
