Del McCoury Concert Tickets

Bluegrass has seen somewhat of a resurgence as of late, and while many new bands have sprung up over the last decade, many of them owe a debt of gratitude to Del McCoury. A talented guitarist and singer, the Pennsylvania native helped bring bluegrass and country to the forefront in the 1960s, and Del McCoury tickets remain a popular item to this day.

McCoury got his start in the early 1960s when he began playing banjo for a band known as the Blue Grass Boys. Eventually, he broke off and teamed up with his brother and two of his sons to form the Del McCoury Band. Throughout the 90s and even into the 2000s, they remained at the top of the bluegrass world, serving as an influence to many of today's most popular musicians.

Although he is older than 70, McCoury is still an active member of the bluegrass community. In fact, in 2008 he founded his own event, known as Delfest, that hosts some of the most well-known names in the genre. Since its earliest days, the festival has welcomed the likes of Bela Fleck, The Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show.
