Darius Rucker Concert Tickets

Although he rose to fame as the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish, Darius Rucker has become a popular singer in his own right. Beginning his career as the frontman and guitarist for pop group Hootie & The Blowfish, Darius Rucker returned to the music scene as a country star in the early 2000s. A star in the country world, the South Carolina native has developed a loyal fan following that picks up Darius Rucker tickets at every opportunity.

Before going solo, Rucker gained star-status in the mid-1990s, when the Blowfish album, Cracked Rear View, sold more than 16 million copies. Hootie and the Blowfish was one of the biggest bands of the 1990s, but by the 2000s, they had faded from view. Rucker used the opportunity to start a solo career, releasing a 2002 R&B album.

Rucker grew up in South Carolina and found inspiration from legendary musicians such as Otis Redding, Gladys Knight and Al Green, which helped him find his groove with his solo career in the early 2000s. His 2002 release of Back to Then, which featured Snoop Dogg and Jill Scott, was R&B-tinged and unlike most of his other releases.

Despite breaking onto the solo scene, Rucker returned to the Blowfish just after his first album release, but he brought his new sound with him. After getting two more full-length albums under his belt with the group, Rucker once again ventured off on his own, but this time his country side came out in full force.

His 2008 country debut came with the album Learn to Live. After "Don't Think I Don't Think About it," topped the Billboard country charts, Rucker became a full-fledged country musician. The record was a critical and commercial success, with singles such as "Alright" and "History in the Making" helping propel the record to the top five of the Billboard 200. Today, Darius Rucker tickets are snagged up by country fans left and right, proving the artist found the perfect niche for himself with twangy guitar riffs and country-molded songwriting.

Encouraged by the success of his first foray into country music, Rucker became one of the biggest names in the genre. His 2010 album Charleston, SC 1966 reached the top of the country charts as well as No. 2 on the Billboard 200, cementing Rucker's transition from the pop world to the country scene.

Today, Rucker continues to tour regularly and record new music. Don't miss your chance to see Darius Rucker perform solo. Buy your Darius Rucker tickets now!
